  • Hearty & Filling: The addition of pork and ramen noodles makes this soup a complete meal.

Tips for the Best Hot and Sour Soup:

  • Don’t overcrowd the pork: Cook the pork in batches to ensure it browns properly.
  • Taste as you go: Adjust the amount of rice wine vinegar and soy sauce to your liking.
  • Fresh is best: Use fresh ginger and garlic for the most vibrant flavor.
  • Ramen Choice: Feel free to use your favorite ramen variety. The noodles will absorb some of the broth, so don’t overcook them.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Can I make this soup vegetarian?
A: Absolutely! Simply omit the pork and use vegetable broth instead of chicken stock. You could also add tofu or mushrooms for extra protein.

Q: Can I adjust the spice level?
A: Yes! Start with a small amount of red pepper flakes and add more to taste. You can also add a dash of chili oil for extra heat.

Q: Can I make this soup ahead of time?
A: The soup base can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add the ramen noodles just before serving.

Q: What kind of bok choy should I use?
A: Baby bok choy is a great choice, but you can also use regular bok choy. Just make sure to separate the ribs from the leaves and add them at different times, as the ribs take longer to cook.

We hope you enjoy this delicious and comforting Hot and Sour Soup with Pork, Bok Choy, and Ramen! It’s a perfect way to warm up on a cold day and satisfy your cravings for a flavorful and satisfying meal.
