  • 4 tablespoons butter Divided in half
  • 1 medium onion Chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 8 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cream
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

  • Place a large pot or dutch oven over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, saute onion until softened.
  • Add the minced garlic and saute for a minute.
  • Add the broccoli florets and 4 cups of chicken broth. Cover it with the lid and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
