  • 2-3 minutes onion sautéing time
  • 30 seconds garlic sautéing time
  • 1 cup broth chicken or vegetable
  • 2 medium carrots chopped
  • 2 14.5 oz cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the onion in butter for 2 to 3 minutes, or until softened. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook 30 seconds more.
