What makes this wonton soup so easy?

  • No homemade wontons needed! We use frozen potstickers for a quick and convenient shortcut.
  • Simple vegetable prep: No fancy knife skills required. Just a bit of slicing and you’re good to go.
  • One-pot wonder: Everything cooks together in one large stockpot, saving you time and dishes.

Tips for the Best Wonton Soup:

  • Stock Quality Matters: Using a good quality vegetable and chicken stock will make a huge difference in the flavor of your soup. You can even use homemade if you have the time!
  • Don’t Overcook the Shrimp: Shrimp cooks quickly, so add it towards the end of the cooking time to prevent it from becoming rubbery.
  • Customize Your Veggies: Feel free to swap out the vegetables we used for your favorites. Bok choy, spinach, or snap peas would all be delicious additions.
  • Spice it Up: Add a dash of chili garlic sauce or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve your Easy Wonton Soup hot, garnished with extra sliced green onions. A side of spring rolls or a light salad would complete the meal perfectly.
