Tips for the Best Spicy Tomato Soup & Cheesy Rice Cake Skewers:
- Roasting is Key: Don’t skip the roasting step! It intensifies the sweetness of the tomatoes and adds a depth of flavor that you just can’t achieve otherwise.
- Gochujang Power: Start with 1 tablespoon of gochujang and adjust to your liking. A little goes a long way!
- Rice Cake Selection: Use cylindrical rice cakes for easy skewering. If they’re very hard, you can soak them in warm water for a few minutes to soften them slightly.
- Cheese Please: Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese on the skewers. Monterey Jack or cheddar would also be delicious.
