- 0.5 c chopped yellow onion ½ medium onion
- 4 cloves garlic minced

- 64 oz low-sodium chicken broth or 8 cups
- 0.5 c chopped broccoli florets
- 0.5 c chopped kale
- 0.25 c fresh parsley chopped
