(fritillary bulb) optional

Instructions
Combine pears, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, and water in a pot.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
If using, add goji berries, chuan bei mu, and dried astargalus during the last 10 minutes of simmering.
Remove from heat and sweeten with honey to taste.
Add lemon juice to taste.
