Chinese Pear Soup for Lung Health

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large Pears peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 thin slices Ginger cut into quarter size
  • 1 pod Vanilla
  • to taste Lemon juice
  • to taste Honey raw
  • 10 Goji Berries optional
  • 5 Chuan bei mu (fritillary bulb) optional
  • 1 slice Dried Astargalus optional
  • 4 cups Water

Instructions
 

  • Combine pears, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, and water in a pot.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • If using, add goji berries, chuan bei mu, and dried astargalus during the last 10 minutes of simmering.
  • Remove from heat and sweeten with honey to taste.
  • Add lemon juice to taste.
