Cream of Jalapeno Soup with Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Jalapenos, seeded and diced
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add jalapenos, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and shredded chicken. Heat through.
  • Serve hot.
