Dice the potatoes and place them in the crock pot. Add the onion, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth.
Set it to cook on low for 8-10 hours.
About one hour before the cooking is finished, add the cream cheese. Stir to incorporate it. It will begin to cook into the soup. Give it a stir every 15 minutes or so until your chowder gets to a creamy texture.
