Ingredients
  

  • 28 oz Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups Milk Whole or 2% milk recommended
  • 1 tsp Salt Or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper Or to taste
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 small Onion Chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, milk, salt, and pepper to the pot. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot.
