extra fine green beans
or fresh beans (16 oz)

of garlic, minced

unsalted butter

extra virgin olive oil

vegetable broth
or chicken broth

freshly grated Parmesan cheese

cup
freshly grated Romano cheese

half and half
or heavy cream for a richer taste
1/4 - 1/2

freshly cracked black pepper

for garnish
Instructions
Sauté garlic in butter and olive oil until fragrant.
Add green beans and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then simmer until beans are tender.
Carefully transfer the soup to a blender or use an immersion blender to puree until smooth.
Return the soup to the pot and stir in Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese, and half and half.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese.
