Healing Anti-Inflammatory Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb shredded chicken optional, hormone and antibiotic-free
  • 8 cups bone broth
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf bay leaf
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine bone broth, carrots, celery, and onion.
  • Add turmeric, black pepper, garlic powder, thyme, bay leaf, and salt.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 300 minutes (5 hours) to allow flavors to meld.
  • If using, add shredded chicken during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Remove bay leaf before serving.
