Homemade Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to a jar.
