Instructions
Rinse the split peas in a colander.
In the Instant Pot, combine the split peas, vegetable broth, onion, carrots, celery, thyme, and smoked paprika.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Close the lid and set the valve to sealing.
Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
Allow the pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
Carefully transfer the soup to a blender (or use an immersion blender) and blend until smooth.
Adjust seasoning to taste and serve.
