Italian Tortellini Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 1 cup Peppers and Onions chopped
  • 1 cup Fresh Spinach
  • 1 pkg Frozen Tortellini
  • 6 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese grated, for garnish
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper or to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 14.5oz can Diced Tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato Paste

Instructions
 

  • Brown the Italian Sausage in a medium skillet until no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.
  • In a slow cooker, combine the cooked Italian Sausage, peppers and onions, spinach, frozen tortellini, chicken broth, and heavy whipping cream.
  • Add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
  • Stir well before serving. Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
