Instructions
Dissolve 1 Tbsp sugar in 1/2 cup warm water. Sprinkle with yeast and let stand 5-10 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine flour, 2 Tbsp sugar, and salt. Cut in 1/4 cup softened butter.
Add yeast mixture and 1/2 cup warm milk. Knead until smooth.
Roll dough into a 12x18 inch rectangle.
Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
Roll up tightly and place seam-down on a greased baking sheet.
Form into a ring and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
