Olive Garden Chicken Alfredo Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked chicken diced
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta broken into smaller pieces

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and pepper.
  • Add cooked chicken and fettuccine pasta. Cook until pasta is tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve immediately.
