Slow Cooker Zuppa Toscana

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 medium Yellow onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 5 medium Potatoes
  • 1 bunch Kale
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 4 slices Bacon Cooked and crumbled

Instructions
 

  • Brown sausage in a skillet and drain any excess grease.
  • Add sausage to slow cooker. Add onion, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  • Scrub and dice potatoes and add to slow cooker.
  • Add kale and chicken broth.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until potatoes are tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with crumbled bacon.
